- Any 4 cylinder full
bodied 104 inch maximum wheelbase car, with front or rear drive only, or
any stock wheel based small 4 cylinder trucks such as Ranger or S10 with
complete stock body, frame and suspension. No heavy bracing. Pedals must
remain stock for year and model.
Dash may be gutted or removed. Insulation under hood, rear seat,
interior trim panels, carpeting, head liner, and insulation must be removed.
All trim on outside of body which may fall off must be removed. No cutting
of body except inside panels of doors may be removed to install roll cage.
All interior sheet metal must remain intact including deck lids, fender
wells, etc Trucks must have stock
box, may be covered. All body holes to be covered No added weight or no cutting
of body to reduce weight
- Stock O.E.M. frames,
steering, rear ends, transmissions, wheels, brakes, etc for make and model
- Roll bar of minimum 1 ½
inch diameter tubing required: It must be at least 4 point mount floor to
roof, X braced behind driver’s seat, two braces roof loop to trunk
floor, cross brace at dash, full roof loop, 3 bars in driver’s door, and
at least 2 in passenger door.
- Doors must be welded or
chained shut.
- Stock bumpers for make
and model only. Damaged bumpers
may be repaired with maximum of 1 & 1/2 inch tubing with a stock type
cover material.
- Tires must be DOT only,
mounted on stock, steel, or bead lock rims, be the same size on DRIVE
WHEELS and have a minimum of 30 PSI tire pressure.
- No mirrors of any kind
allowed.
- All glass, including
windshield, and light lens must be removed. Windshield must have at least
3 bars welded in front of driver area.
- Safety rules allow
driver’s seat to be replaced with a racing seat. Must use racing type seat
belts, must use window net on driver’s side, have approved helmet and
wear long sleeve and leg clothing or fire suit.
- Engines: Three or four
cylinder only. No turbochargers, No Quad – 4, or Rotary engines allowed. Engines must be completely stock [No performance
parts allowed] using stock carburetor or fuel injection for year and model
- Stock exhaust manifold
only. Exhaust must exit some place behind driver. Mufflers may be removed.
- Stock gas tank must be
in stock location, or a fuel cell may be used mounted safely inside trunk
area.
- Gas station pump gas
only with no additives. Fuel must be clear and will be checked.
- Battery may be
relocated. It must be mounted solidly and covered if in passenger area.
- We would like for the
horn to work. This is just to have fun with.
- Cars should have
working stock third brake light or equivalent mounted at top of rear
window area.
This is also just for fun, but makes it neat for
grandstand people to see.

No car or engine claim. $100
check rule will apply to check for anything we think may be illegal, such as
fuel, carb, shocks , etc. It will work like engine tear down.
Protesting driver will get money back if track
officials find protested driver
illegal with illegal driver losing points and money for said event. If legal,
money goes to legal driver’

All
cars are to be neatly painted and have at least 16 inch high number on each
side of car with a 16 inch
high
number on the roof which can be read from the grandstand side. If scorers can’t
read your number, you
won’t be
scored.

Drivers
14 to 18 years of age may be allowed to compete with parental permission form
signed/notarized
and sign
waiver at pit entry.
20 Drivers
will use same racing rules as set forth in General Rules.

Driver may only win two Sat
night features in a row. Additional Mid
week special wins do not count.
This class is for fun. Lets keep it that way.
Note: If we have several Hornets in
attendance, I may use Season Average points for Heat Line ups
