Mother Nature down poured on central Illinois all week, letting loose with over 6 inches of rain locally, but she smiled on us tonight and gave us another absolutely beautiful evening for racing. The temperature was perfect, the humidity was gone, and if you thought the track was fast last week, "you ain't seen nothin' yet"!! The huge amounts of rain made the track VERY WET, VERY TACKY, and it held the moisture all night, which meant it stayed VERY FAST all night!!! Fairbury Speedway was rained out, which meant we also had A LOT of extra cars on hand tonight as well. No doubt about it, this was going to be a very exciting night of racing!!!!!

The #M3 of Chuck McDonald started on the pole for E-Mod Heat #1, and he stayed out front from the green flag to the checkered flag. McDonald opened up a NICE lead on the first lap, and the #94 of Bobby Schnarr, who started in 5th, was running behind McDonald in the 2nd spot. The entire field got spread WAY out, and ran the entire race single file, with no more changes for position. Chuck McDonald easily brought home the win. Bobby Schnarr had a strong 2nd place finish, followed by the #66 of Rabon Wyatt in 3rd, and the #42 of Tim Bishop in 4th.

The #30 of Rob Bauman, Sr. started on the pole in E-Mod Heat #2, but the #96 of Kirk Anderson was ALL OVER his back bumper in a hurry! Behind the race leaders was another great battle for the 3rd spot between the #30 of Robbie Bauman, Jr. and the #29 of Chad Terwillger. By lap #4, Anderson was finally able to get around Bauman and move into the lead, and he stayed out front until the end. Kirk Anderson was the race winner, Rob Bauman, Sr. finished in 2nd, Rob Bauman, Jr. came in 3rd, and Chad Terwillger came in 4th.We tried to talk with the race winner, Kirk Anderson, but he didn't have time to talk with us. I know Kirk has a lot of fans out there, so hopefully we'll be able to talk with him and his team early next season.

The #25 of Phil Schnarr may have started 3rd in E-Mod Heat #3, but contact between the race leaders, the #4 of John Winters and the #64 of Jim Picardi, opened the door for Schnarr to move into the lead, and you can bet he jumped on the opportunity! Once out front, Schnarr didn't waste any time opening up a BIG lead for himself. The #M17 of Brent Munson, who started way back in 6th, wasn't wasting any time either. By lap #4, Munson had caught Winters and was challenging for the 2nd spot. Phil Schnarr enjoyed a "comfy" lead until he end, and he easily brought home the checkered flag. Brent Munson made a nice, last turn pass to bring home the 2nd place finish, followed by Jim Picardi in 3rd, and John Winters in 4th.

Cross Flag The driver of the #88C E-Mod, Scott Carlyle, was one of the drivers that we did get to visit with tonight. Scott races with us from Peoria, Illinois, and he is currently 16th in the points standing is the increasingly competitive E-Mod Division. Scott's pit crewmembers include Kyle Hauk and Ralph Carlyle, and Energy Home Insulation and Ben White Builders sponsor his car. Scott says his biggest fans are his family, and he truly appreciates their support. When we asked Scott how his car was running, his answer was "Good". Unfortunately, Scott has trouble in his heat tonight and had to pull into the pits early, but he would make it back out later in the evening for the Feature event. Scott is happy to finish each race, and his goal is to learn something new each time he drives the car. The driver that Scott looks up to the most is Scott May, because he has known Scott since he started racing, and "Scooter" has always helped him out with his car. What does Scott like the most about Spoon River Speedway? It's roomy, which makes it a good place for beginners. The least? Nothing! Our thanks to Scott for taking the time to talk with us tonight. We wish him a successful end to the season, and we'll look forward to seeing him back again next year!

The #22B of Richie Biswell started on the pole in Modified Heat #1, and he stayed out front ALL THE WAY! The #26 of JD Beal, who started way back in 6th, was moving up in a hurry. Beal was in 3rd by lap #2, and by lap #3 he was into the 2nd position. Behind Beal, the #48 of Casey Lappin and the #34 of Bill Anderson were battling for the 3rd spot, and the #88 of Steve David and the #420 of John Eppers were side-by-side, racing for 5th. Anderson won the battle for 3rd, and quickly set his sights on Beal and the 2nd spot. With all the racing for position going on behind him, Richie Biswell was able to open up a "comfy" lead and bring home the win. Bill Anderson finished in 2nd, followed by JD Beal in 3rd, and Casey Lappin in 4th.

Cross Flag The driver of the #88 Modified, Steve David, was another one of the drivers that we had a chance to talk with tonight. Steve races with us from Trivoli, Illinois, and he is currently 13th in the points in the highly competitive Modified Division. Steve's pit crewmembers include his son, Brandon David, his brother-in-law, Jim Russell, his nephew, Jason Russell, and his close friends, Steve Coffman, Jeremy Shake, Steve Coffman, Jr., and Deidre Coffman. FCI Excavating, Faith Construction, Alexander's Steakhouse, Huffman's Auto Sales & Body Shop, C & D Web Creations, and Pet Tails Dog Grooming sponsor Steve's car. Steve's biggest fans are his wife, Brenda, his daughter, Shanna, his sister, Vickie Russell, his niece, Jaimee Russell, his entire pit crew, and 3-year-old Sabrina Shake. One of the highlights of the season for Steve was winning a heat race, climbing out of the car, taking the checkered flag up to the stands, and giving it to little Sabrina on her 3rd birthday! (She told Uncle Steve earlier, at her party, that she wanted him to win her a flag for her birthday!) When we asked Steve how his car was running, his answer was "Fair". Steve's goal for the season is a Top Ten Finish in the Modified point's standings, and he also wants to win a Modified Feature. The driver that Steve looks up to the most is Dale Munson, because no matter what car you put Dale in, he is always fast and smooth, and he's always a clean driver (except maybe in mud laps!!). Dale also helps Steve out with his car! What does Steve like the most about Spoon River Speedway? It's FAST!! The least? It's inconsistent! He'd also like to see a better sound system in the pits so the drivers can actually hear the announcements! Our thanks to Steve for taking the time to talk with us tonight, and we certainly hope that Feature win comes soon!!!

Speaking of Dale Munson, tonight he was behind the wheel of the #18 in Modified Heat #2. Munson started way back in the 8th spot, but he didn't stay there for long. He was up to 6th on the first lap, was battling the #25 of Butch Weisser for 4th by lap #4, and before the race was over, he was also around the #00 of Ed Barth, and the #40 of Floyd Jordan, and into the 2nd spot. The #12 of "Fast" Eddie Bolander was just that tonight …. FAST! Bolander started 3rd, but quickly moved into 2nd, and by the end of the race, Eddie Bolander was out front and brought home the checkered flag. Dale Munson finished in 2nd, followed by Ed Barth in 3rd, and Floyd Jordan in 4th.

The #28 of Phil Schnarr started on the pole in Modified Heat #3, and he stayed out front all the way to the end. The #31 of Mark Anderson started 3rd, but he quickly moved into the 2nd spot, and that's were he stayed, too. From that point on, Schnarr and Anderson were racing at AMAZING speeds. I wouldn't say that they were "driving fast", it was more like "FLYING LOW"!!! Both driver's were testing their cars to the limit, and know matter where they went, high or low, they just kept getting faster! Phil Schnarr kept the #28 out front and brought home the win, followed by Mark Anderson in 2nd. The #64 of Gary Cook, Sr. finished in 3rd, and the #42 of Matt Smith was in 4th.

Modified Heat #4 was just as fast and just as exciting to watch as Heat #3 was. The #28 of "Jammin" Jimmy Hibser started in the 3rd spot, but he saw that Schnarr and Anderson were fast up high, and Jimmy LOVES to run up high, so he took the #28 high into the first turn, and he was in the lead by the time he reached the backstretch! The Allen brothers, the #192 of Brian and the #292 of Bobby, were also "hooked up". By lap #3, Brian was up to the 2nd spot and Bobby, who started way back in 8th, was up to 3rd. Brian Allen tried several times to get a run on Hibser, but Jimmy was just too fast in the high groove. "Jammin" Jimmy Hibser was the race winner, followed by Brian Allen in 2nd, Bobby Allen in 3rd, and the #69 of Randy Stuber in 4th.

The #87 of Rich Gilbert may have started 4th in Hobo Heat #1, but he was around the #99X of Ron Egli and into 2nd on the first lap, and quickly set his sights on the race leader, the #5J of Jim Jorgenson. Gilbert challenged Jorgenson for the lead, and with 2 laps to go, he was able to complete the pass and move into the lead. Rich Gilbert stayed out front and brought home the checkered flag. Jim Jorgenson finished in 2nd, followed by Ron Egli in 3rd.

Cross Flag The driver of the #87 Hobo, Rich Gilbert, was another one of the drivers that we were able to visit with tonight. Rich was racing with us tonight from Peoria, Illinois. Rich's pit crewmembers include Glen Melvin, Dan Gilbert, and RJ Hindert, and his car is sponsored by RJ Hindert and Pleasant Valley Storage. Rich says his biggest fan is his wife, Cheryl. When we asked Rich how his car was running, his answer was "Good" It sure looked better than "good" in the heat, starting in the back and racing to the lead in just a few laps! One of the highlights of Rich's racing career was his first night out - the first time he ever climbed in a race car he won his heat race! Rich's goal for the season is mainly to survive, and to have fun along the way! The driver that Rich looks up to the most is Eric Bruce, because Eric is aggressive and smooth on the racetrack. What does Rich like the best about Spoon River Speedway? It's a safe track. The least? Nothing! Rich would like to send out a big "Thank You" to his car owner, Don Bruce. Our thanks to Rich for taking the time to talk with us tonight, and we certainly wish him and his team the best of luck the rest of the season.

The #22 of Greg Sullivan started on the pole in Hobo Heat #2, but he soon had LOTS of company up front. The #77T of Willie Heinz was challenging Sullivan for the lead on lap #1, and the #8 of Eric Wisher joined in the battle a lap later. Sullivan, Heinz, and Wisher battled back and forth for the lead all the way through the race, but in the end, Willie Heinz came out ahead, literally by INCHES, and scored the win. Eric Wisher finished in 2nd, followed by Greg Sullivan in 3rd, and the #19 of Durland Pople in 4th.

The #77 of Cliff Howard started on the pole in Hobo Heat #3. Howard has been running strong all season, so if he started up front, it's a pretty safe bet that he'll finish up front, and tonight was no exception! Howard opened up a big lead on the 1st lap, but there was plenty of racing for position going on behind him. The #35 of Josh Smith and the #64 of Curtis Link were battling for the 2nd spot, with the #83 of Nathan Balensiefer right behind them in 4th. By the end of the race, Cliff Howard had opened up a HUGE lead, and he was the race winner by a LONG SHOT! Curtis Link finished in 2nd, followed by Josh Smith in 3rd, and Nathan Balensiefer in 4th.

After watching the SUPER FAST laps that all the other classes were turning tonight, I'm sure I wasn't the only one that could hardly wait for the Late Models to come out onto the track! Not only were they going to be exciting to watch, but thanks to Fairbury raining out, we had A LOT of extra Late Models in attendance tonight!

The #25K of Bill Kettering, Jr. started 3rd in Late Model Heat #1, but he was challenging the #45 of Dwayne Walters for the lead on the 1st lap. The #20M of Mike Killion, who started 4th, had moved into the 3rd position when caution came out on lap #2. Killion got a GREAT jump on the restart, and moved into the lead in a hurry. The field got spread WAY out from there, running single file to the checkered flag. Mike Killion scored the win, followed by Dwayne Walters in 2nd, Bill Kettering, Jr. in 3rd, and the #5F of Stan Fanning in 4th.

The #14 of Bobby Allen started on the pole in Late Model Heat #2, and Allen stayed out front from green flag to checkered flag. The #29J of Lindell Jewell started 3rd, but he got around the #77 of Jim Hagedorn on the 1st lap and took over the 2nd spot. By lap #4, Allen and Jewell had opened up some "breathing room" between themselves and the rest of the field, with Hagedorn running all alone in the 3rd spot. There was a lot of GREAT side-by-side racing going on for the 4th spot between the #19 of Tim Morris and the #88 of Wade Logue. Bob Allen scored a convincing win, followed by Lindell Jewell in 2nd, and Jim Hagedorn in 3rd. Wade Logue won the battle for the 4th spot, and Tim Morris finished in 5th.

The #10M of Chad Pratt started on the pole in Late Model Heat #3, but the #F13 of Rob Bauman, Sr. was ALL OVER his back bumper in a hurry. Bauman moved into the lead on lap #3. Pratt was trying to battle back for the lead when he got into the back of Bauman, causing Bauman to spin, and Pratt had to restart lap #4 in the back of the pack. The #30 of Rob Bauman, Jr. lined up in 2nd for the restart, with the #82 of Floyd Jordan, Jr. beside him in 3rd. Rob Bauman, Sr. kept the #F13 out front all the way to the end to bring home the checkered flag. Rob Bauman, Jr. finished in 2nd in the #30 car, followed by Floyd Jordan, Jr. in 3rd. Chad Pratt raced his way from the back all the way up to a 4th place finish, followed by the #45 of Brian Crebo in 5th.

The #3G of Bob Goodin started on the pole in Late Model Heat #4, and he also stayed out front from green flag to checkered flag. The #M40 of Scott "Scooter" May quickly moved into the 2nd spot, followed by the #11 of Brad Denney in 3rd, and the #59 of Morey Denney in 4th. There was a BIG hole forming about half way up the track in turn #1, and Scott May got caught up in it on lap #4, tossing his car sideways, and forcing everyone behind him to "check up" to avoid contact. With everyone getting out of the gas in turn #1, Bob Goodin was able to open up a nice lead, and he easily scored the win. Scott May held onto his position and finished in 2nd, followed by Brad Denney in 3rd, and Morey Denney in 4th.

Only two cars started in Pro Street Heat #1. The #43 of John Heitzman started on the pole, followed by the #4S of Jeff Smith. This one ended just like it started. John Heitzman stayed out front from flag to flag, opening up a nice lead, and bringing home the win. Jeff Smith finished in 2nd.

The #91 of BJ Richardson started on the pole in Pro Street Heat #2, the #31K of Ken Gresham, Jr. started in 2nd, and by lap #3 Richardson and Gresham broke away from the rest of the field and the two were out front all by themselves. Gresham challenged for the lead coming down the backstretch, and he was in the lead at the start/finish line when the white flag came out. The #00 of Steve Harper ran most of the race all alone in the 3rd spot, with the #5 of David Harris and the #6H of Brian Harris battling for 4th behind him. Ken Gresham, Jr. stayed out front until the end and scored the win. BJ Richardson finished in 2nd, followed by Steve Harper in 3rd, and David Harris in 4th.

The #31 of Pat Knox started on the pole in Pro Street Heat #2, and he jumped out front to a NICE lead on the 1st lap. The #4 of Marty Gradert, the #8 of Scott Hostetler, the #81K of Mark Ross, and the #18 of Terry Pratt were FOUR WIDE in turns #3 & #4, all racing for the 2nd spot! Ross won the battle for 2nd, and he then set his sights on Knox, the race leader. Something obviously went away on Pratt's car, forcing him to pull into the pits, leaving Gradert and Hostetler in the fight for 3rd. Ross caught Knox, got a GREAT run out of turn #4 on lap #4, and took over the lead. Mark Ross kept his car out front until the end and brought home the win. Pat Knox finished in 2nd, followed by Marty Gradert in 3rd, and Scott Hostetler in 4th.

Cross Flag The driver of the #31 Pro Street, Pat Knox, was another one of the drivers that we were able to spend some time with tonight. Pat races with us from Springfield, Illinois, and he is currently 11th in the point's standings in the Pro Street Division. Pat, his wife, Crystal, and John do all the work on the car themselves, and Knox Detailing sponsors the car. Not only is Crystal a BIG help with the car, she is also Pat's biggest fan! When we asked Pat how his car was running, his answer was "Good". It sure looked more like "Great" in tonight's heat race, Pat! Pat's goal is to finish the season in the Top Ten in the Pro Street point's standings, and at the rate he's going, he could very easily achieve that goal. The driver that Pat likes the most is Dale Earnhardt, Jr., because Pat always like Earnhardt, Sr. What does Pat like the most about Spoon River Speedway? The speed - and the track is fast and challenging. The least? The long cautions. Pat also wanted to wish all the racers "Good Luck" and he wanted to thank all the fans. Our thanks to Pat for taking the time to talk with us this evening. We certainly wish him the best of luck the rest of this season, and we look forward to having him back again next year.

Pro Street Heat #4 was TOTAL EXCITEMENT from start to finish. The #H6 of Ben Hulse started on the pole, followed by the #27 of Greg Arnett, the #27C of Jim Carter, and the #12 of Tom Turnbull. There was LOTS of scramblin' for position from the very beginning, and nothing changed until the very end. All four of these guys were racing each other VERY HARD and it's NOT possible that they could have been racing any closer! Most laps were so close, I couldn't tell who was in what position!! By lap #4, they did spread out enough to tell who was where, with Arnett taking over the lead, and Carter moved into 2nd. Jim Carter got a GREAT run on the last turn, and moved into the lead just in time to take the checkered flag! Greg Arnett finished in 2nd, followed by Ben Hulse in 3rd, and Tom Turnbull in 4th.

The #7 of Greg Wells started on the pole in Thunder truck Heat #1, and he stayed out front all the way to the end. The #31 of Harry Fourdyce started in 3rd, but he got around the #88 of Dave Collins and moved into 2ndearly in the race. Fourdyce made a last lap challenge for the lead, but Greg Wells was able to hold him off and bring home the win. Harry Fourdyce finished in 2nd, followed by Dave Collins in 3rd.

Thunder Truck Heat #2 was definitely a "thriller". The #28 of Ron Wilson, who started in the very back, quickly jumped up front and was challenging the pole sitter, the #30 of Gerald Carter, for the lead. With 2 laps to go, the #26 of Ryan Wilson spun in turns #1 & #2 right in front of the race leaders. Next came chaos and mayhem, with nearly EVERY truck on the track somehow getting involved in the wreck. The #55 of Buck Bainter and the #8 of Dave Collins had to go to the pits, leaving only 3 trucks out on the track. Carter made a last lap effort trying to move into the lead, but couldn't complete the pass, and Ron Wilson stayed out front and claimed the checkered flag. Gerald Carter finished in 2nd, followed by Ryan Wilson in 3rd.

The #J12 of Jason Wagner started on the pole in the Modified Semi-Feature, and Wagner stayed out front for quite a while, with the #17 of Rick Scott, Jr. and the #17 of Jackie Willis battling for the 2nd spot. There were several cautions before this one was over. Lots of cars were spinning, and lots of cars were making contact with each other, causing them to have stop and line them up over and over again. Wagner and Scott pulled ahead on a lap #3 restart, with Willis, the #3L of Doug Canham, and the #420 of John Eppers coming out of the turn THREE WIDE battling for the 3rd spot. Scott was able to get around Wagner on lap #4 and move into the lead, bringing Willis along with him into 2nd. Once out front, Rick Scott, Jr. was able to hold onto the lead, and he brought home the Semi-Feature win. Jackie Willis finished in 2nd, followed by Jason Wagner in 3rd, and Doug Canham in 4th. Scott, Willis, Wagner, and Canham would all advance to the Feature event.

The track was VERY FAST early in the night, and by the Feature races, it was NASTY FAST!!! The E-Mod's were the first Feature of the evening, and from the very beginning of the race, they were turning lap times and traveling at speeds I can't even imagine! The #96 of Kirk Anderson stared on the pole in tonight's E-Mod Main Feature, but he soon had LOTS of company from the #30 of Rob Bauman, Sr. Bauman, who started 5th, was on the inside of Anderson and moved into the lead by lap #2. The #M17 of Brent Munson, who started in 6th, was also on the move in a hurry, having raced his way up to the 3rd position by lap #2. Caution came out on lap #2, and Bauman, who had just moved into the lead, went to the pits, something obviously going away on his car. Anderson assumed the lead, Munson moved up to 2nd, and the #M3 of Chuck McDonald and the #25 of Phil Schnarr were right behind the race leaders. The #30 of Rob Bauman, Jr., who started back in 7th, got around both McDonald and Schnarr and moved into the 3rd spot, and the top 5 broke away from the rest of the field. Munson was ALL OVER the back bumper of Anderson, but Kirk Anderson held him off and brought home another Feature win. Brent Munson finished in 2nd, followed by Phil Schnarr in 3rd, Rob Bauman, Jr. in 4th, and Chuck McDonald in 5th.

The #12 of "Fast" Eddie Bolander started on the pole, and he led the first 13 laps of the race, but the #28 of "Jammin" Jimmy Hibser quickly jumped up to the 2nd spot, and he was putting pressure on Bolander for the lead. The #31 of Mark Anderson, who started back in 7th, was using the high side to his advantage, and by lap #2 he was challenging the #22B of Richie Biswell for the 4th spot. Anderson was "on a mission", and by lap #6 he was around the #28 of Phil Schnarr and into 3rd, and the next turn he was under Hibser and into the 2nd spot. Another car on the move was the #192 of Brian Allen. Allen started in 8th, but by lap #8, he was up in the top five. There were a lot of cars on the move from the start of this race, but the lucky number for the tonight must have been the #17. The #17 of Rick Scott, Jr. who made the race via the Semi, started WAY back in the 17th spot, but he was unstoppable! By lap #5 he was up to 14th, by lap #8 he was up to 9th, by lap #12 he was on the back bumper of Brian Allen in 5th, and by lap #16 he was up to 2nd! Scott wasn't flashy or fancy, he was just FAST and CONSISTENT, and he kept picking off the cars lap after lap. In the meantime, the race leader, Bolander, had his hands full, trying to hold off the competition. Bolander was blocking high, and he was blocking low, but he couldn't be in both places at the same time, and Anderson was able to move into the lead on the backstretch on lap #13. Caution came out on lap #13 for contact between Allen & Hibser, forcing Hibser, who had been running in the top 3, to take his car to the pits. Allen got a GREAT jump on the restart and took the lead from Anderson, bringing Scott with him into 2nd. Scott wasn't happy with 2nd though, and he got around Allen at the start/finish line on the last lap. Rick Scott, Jr. ran an AMAZING race, coming all the way from a 17th place starting position, to win the Modified Feature event! Brian Allen finished in 2nd, followed by Mark Anderson in 3rd, Eddie Bolander in 4th, and JD Beal in 5th.

The #8 of Eric Wisher may have started in 3rd in the Hobo feature, but he was challenging the #64 of Curtis Link for the lea don the first lap! The #77 of Cliff Howard and the #77T of Willie Heinz also jumped up front in a hurry. Howard and Heinz started in 5th and 6th, but they were up to 3rd and 4th on the first lap also! Wisher opened up a NICE lead for himself by lap #5, with several cars battling for position behind him. Heinz got under Link and moved into the 2nd spot, bringing Howard with him into 2nd. A couple of other cars that were moving up in a hurry were the #19 of Durland Pople and the #35 of Josh Smith. Smith started in 9th and Pople started in 10th, but both cars made their way through traffic and into the top five by lap #5. Eric Wisher stayed out front all the way to the end, and he brought home a convincing Feature win. Eric was pretty excited in victory lane, climbing on the roof of the #8 car and waving the checkered flag to all his fans! Willie Heinz finished in 2nd, followed by Cliff Howard in 3rd, Josh Smith in 4th, and Durland Pople in 5th.

TWENTY-ONE Late Models started the Feature, and with the track as FAST as it was tonight, you just knew this was going to be a GREAT race! The #30 of Rob Bauman, Jr. started on the pole, but he got loose on the backstretch on the 1st lap, and the #29J of Lindell Jewell was right there to take advantage and he quickly moved into the lead. The #F13 of Rob Bauman, Sr. started in 5th, the #14 of Bobby Allen started 6th, and the #M40 of Scot May started 8th, but by lap #2 they were all up front and battling for the 4th spot! The #3G of Bob Goodin got around Jewell for the lead on lap #5, and May also got around Jewell to move up to 2nd on lap #6. By lap #6, (and we even had a caution & a restart on lap #4!) the race leaders were having to deal with lap traffic. Caution came out again on lap #10 when a lap car spun RIGHT IN FRONT of the race leaders. May and Goodin pulled off some pretty impressive "evasive maneuvers" to avoid contact with the spun car, and everyone behind the leaders did a nice job checking up, so everyone came through the incident in one piece! May got into the back of Goodin in turn #1 on the restart, causing him to spin, and caution was out once again. Goodin was forced to pull into the pits with a flat tire, and May was sent to the back on the restart, handing the lead back to Jewell on lap #11. Bauman, Sr. and the #11 of Brad Denney were ALL OVER the back bumper of Jewell on the restart, and there was even some "paint tradin'" going on between the three cars for several laps. Lindell Jewell had his hands full, but he was able to hold off the competition, and he stayed out front all the way to the checkered flag for another Feature win. Brad Denney finished in 2nd. Remember the #M40 getting sent to the back on the lap #11 caution? Well, he didn't stay in the back for much longer than a split second, because Scott May managed to race his way all the back up to a 3rd place finish! Rob Bauman, Sr., finished in 4th in the #F13 car, followed by Bobby Allen in 5th in the #14.

The #31 of Pat Knox started on the pole in the Pro Street Feature, but he was soon joined by LOTS of company! The #27C of Jim Carter and the #81K of Mark Ross quickly moved into the 2nd and 3rd spots, and they didn't waste any time setting their sights on the race leader. By lap #5, the race leaders were already having to contend with lap traffic. Carter, getting through traffic a little better than Knox, was able to move into the lead on lap #8. Caution came out, bunching the field up again, which is exactly what the #31K of Ken Gresham, Jr., needed. Gresham, who restarted in 5th, got a GREAT run out of turn #2, and he was all the way up to 2nd coming down the backstretch and into turn #3. Another car that was on the move was the #H6 of Ben Hulse. Hulse started in 10th, but by lap #8 he was up to 7th, and just two laps later he was in the top five! By lap #10, Gresham, Ross, Knox, and the #91 of BJ Richardson were all battling each other HARD for the 2nd spot. Caution came out again when Ross, who had help from behind, was sent spinning in turn #4. Ross kept his spot on the restart, but Gresham was charged for bringing out the yellow, and had to restart at the back of the pack. Carter got a nice jump on the restart, and he kept the #27C out front all the way to the end. Jim Carter was the Feature winner, and you could tell he was pretty excited about the victory. Jim climbed out of the car in the winner's circle to get his picture taken, and he didn't get back in! He walked down the front stretch and into the pits, proudly waving the checkered flag to his fans along the way! Mark Ross finished in 2nd, followed by Pat Knox in 3rd, Ben Hulse in 4th, and BJ Richardson in 5th.

The #28 of Ron Wilson may have started back in the 6th spot in the Thunder Truck Feature, but he didn't stay there for long! The trucks were FOUR WIDE (and believe me, trucks JUST DON'T FIT four wide!) going into turn #1, and Wilson came out at the front of the pack on the 1st lap. The #26 of Ryan Wilson was in 2nd, with the #30 of Gerald Carter ALL OVER his back bumper in 3rd. There was a hole in the middle of turn #1 that started developing early tonight, and by now, it was practically a moon-sized crater, and on lap #3, it sucked Ryan Wilson into it's lair and he lost A LOT of momentum trying to get his truck straightened back out. Carter moved around Wilson and into 2nd, and the traffic behind Wilson closed in. The #88 of Dave Collins, the #31 of Harry Fourdyce, and Ryan Wilson were battling hard for the 3rd position, allowing Ron Wilson and Carter to pull away from the rest of the field. By the time the race was over, Wilson and Carter had a ¾ of a lap lead over the 3rd place truck! Ron Wilson kept his #28 out front all the way to the checkered flag, and he brought home the Feature win. Gerald Carter finished in 2nd, followed by Ryan Wilson in 3rd, Harry Fourdyce in 4th, and the #88 of Dave Collins in 5th.
