Inside Line Promotions – LUBBOCK, Texas (Sept. 10, 2020) – Brenham Crouch is returning to Illinois this weekend for a pair of POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget League races.

Crouch will pilot a Toyota Racing backed Keith Kunz Motorsports midget on Friday at Jacksonville Speedway in Jacksonville and on Saturday at Spoon River Speedway in Canton.

“I’m excited because I feel like I’ve improved each time we’ve had weekends in the midget,” Crouch said. “It’s a learning curve moving up to midget competition this year and each time we run I’m soaking up everything I can.”

Crouch tied his career-best midget result of 11th two weeks ago at Jacksonville Speedway.

“I put myself in a good position in the heat race by finishing third,” he said. “We started 13th in the feature and worked our way to eighth early. We had a caution and then got up to sixth. On the final restart I got pushed into the slick and all I could do was watch people go by until I could find a lane to get into. It was a bummer not to capitalize and run in the top five, but I was happy with the speed we had.”

Saturday will mark his debut at Spoon River Speedway.

“It’s always a blast to head to a new track and see how quickly we can adapt,” Crouch said. “It’s critical to pick it up fast and fortunately we have a great team behind us that will make the process go smoothly.”
